Croydon hub
Wherever Oasis works, we like to get involved at the heart of the community, delivering a range of services to meet a variety of needs - our work in Croydon demonstrates this.
Oasis began work in the Croydon community in 2000 when we opened The Foyer, a supported housing environment to provide temporary accommodation for young people aged 18-25 who found themselves homeless.
The Foyer also serves the wider Croydon Community providing a number of services open to all including IT training and careers advice. You can read more about The Foyer here.
In September 2008, Oasis Academy Coulsdon will open in the existing building of Coulsdon High School. As well as serving students, the Academy aims to be a hub for the entire community. The renovated building should give the opportunity for valuable community facilities which may include family activities, adult learning opportunities, a learning resource centre, sports facilities and out-of-hours youth activities.
